We are pleased to announce that the Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group (LTFRG) has been granted a lease by the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) over the heritage listed Ludlow Forestry Settlement. The initial term of the lease is 20 years with 10 + 10 extension options.
In a fitting acknowledgement to the beginnings of the LTFRG the lease was signed at the very table of our inaugural meeting in 2018. The lease was signed by Des Donnelly (President), Bill Biggins (Secretary), and witnessed by Evelyn Taylor (Committee member and Past President). Special thanks to Committee member, Holger Topp who led the lease negotiations.
This venture is challenging and success will record permanently the history of forestry, provide for tourism, education, recreation, employment, restoration, conservation and a window into the Tuart Forest.
Thank you to all LTFRG members for your support and contribution in enabling us to reach this milestone.
Well done and thank you.
Des Donnelly
