2020 AGM

Last Sunday, our group held the 2020 Annual General Meeting at the Ludlow historic settlement. A new president and committee were elected including Des Donnelly (President), Peta Taylor (Treasurer), Bill Biggins (Secretary) and committee members Holger Topp, Evelyn Taylor, Pat Worrall, Tonina Pinneri, Nick Hornibrook, Kathy Rutgers and Alan Coyne. Tuart seedlings for sale

It has been an exhausting year for the Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group. Of the 50,000 tuart seedlings ordered in August 2019, we have 2,000 lest for sale to the public. Now be warned, the seedlings can grow to 30 metres in height so they are not suitable for your suburban backyard. Not if you want good relations with your neighbours! They are perfect for a larger or rural property and great for shade and windbreaks.We are selling the remaining 25 (63 seedling trays) at our cost price ...

Planting season 2020

The Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group will commence planting on Saturday, 6 June 2020 at the `Lochart Block`, off Tuart Drive, Ludlow for a period of six days only. Our objective is to plant 16,000 tuart seedlings during the six days. There will be 8 teams of 2 people each session. That's 8 teams x 2 (three hour sessions) x 6 days = 288 hours of planting time. Sabrina Hahn visits Ludlow

Last Sunday (Australia Day), we were honoured with a visit to the Ludlow Mill Settlement by Sabrina Hahn (gardening guru ), who drove all the way from Perth to meet with our president and other members of our landscaping committee at Ludlow. City of Busselton Grant

In 2019, the City of Busselton advised our grant application to provide funds to restore the roof of the former truck shed was successful. The funding, under the category `Community Enhancement` has enabled us to re-roof the building and install a 130,000 litre rain water tank to provide portable water for the Ludlow mill compound. CEP Grant

Local supporters

On Wednesday this week we had a visit from Rob Williams, Manager of the MM Electrical Busselton branch. Rob organised a donation of electrical switchgear enclosures from Legrand and 500 metres of electrical cable.It`s these local relationships that will ensure our success at Ludlow. Call the Police

Today, we erected around 60 signs at the Ludlow mill and settlement site to encourage the public to call the Police if they see any suspicious behaviour. Hopefully the signs will also discourage those  people who have been vandalising our buildings and stealing various items which we now need to replace....

Sponsor a seedling

Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group now have this special opportunity for the public to sponsor tuart seedlings. In 2018, Cristal Mining donated 30,000 tuart seeds to our Group and a subsequent contract was awarded to Boyanup Botanical nursery to germinate the seeds and have them ready for planting in the Ludlow, Lockhart Block mid 2019.
